The Cathedral
I brought my camera to work the other day with the intention to take a few shots after work. Walking around the city didn't know what exactly to shoot, I found myself on 5th Ave by St. Patrick's Cathedral. I was a little timid to go inside because I am not at all Catholic and I didn't know how they felt about people taking photos inside. I asked the security guard and he said it was cool, so I began to "do what it do".
Here are a few shots (5/14/08)
The Cathedral...

By the way, the Cathedral is a very beautiful structure in and of itself. I was like "This has been here the entire time?!?!?!" lol. A photographer can get lots of good pictures in this place, problem is the lighting is horrible so you have to change settings on the fly and New yorkers don't like strangers taking photos of them, lol. Enjoy the rest of the blog :)

I do cartoons too...
Original: (drawn by hand in college)

On computer: (drawn on the computer by hand)

Final cut:
with some shading

Summary:
Like the title says I also do cartoons. I've been drawing all my life. As a matter of fact Elijah and myself have always been artist. We met at an Art High School. Anyway.... I drew this cartoon in college. I wanted it to be able to show others my work, but they are all stuck in a sketch book, and scanning is lame cause it would look bad.
So this is where Adobe Illustrator comes in. My boy Chubb showed me some things and now here I am. This is my first computer generated cartoon. There are major flaws in the lines and what not but, hey its my first.

The Start of the HANDS...
I started a small project on Hands. It was a project about the uses of the Hands that we take for granted. Hands help us in our lives in almost everything we do. We can't conduct our daily lives constructively without using our hand, they are extremely vital to us. Thats why I wanted to pay homage to this instruments we take for granted.
This photo is the first photo I took for my HANDS project. The hand is actually Elijah's (Erasto) hand. He was messing around on the piano and in an instant I saw the vision. If you notice there is a figure in the background, that's his girlfriend Cortnei.
Oh yea, he doesn't really know how to play the piano.

Dead hoop dreams :(

I started playing basketball in the 5th grade, after my mom could no longer afford Private schooling for my sister and I, she to put us in Public school. It was the best thing that ever happened to me! I was always an active kid, running and playing around but I never played basketball before. In Public school that was all the kids my age did! PLAY BASKETBALL!!!
I loved it, I thought I was going to the NBA, I thought I was the next Michael Jordan. But lack of self confidence in High School and a whole lot of other factors (namely my 5'10" stature). But not to bored you guys with my own insecurities, I name this photo Dead Hoop Dreams!

Rope... Hand... Man I don't know!

I did this photo for an up and coming HANDS project. I didn't see the vision in the photo, but it came out kinda nice. I'm going to have to re-shoot this with the proper props, but I must admit the lighting came out nice on this one. This photo is nice and sharp!
P.S. I don't like something about this photo but I didn't feel like doing extensive editing so I decided to leave it.
To bad it's a reject
