The Heart of a Solider













I took this photo in Jamaica at grandmother's funeral. It was a very sad day because she was well loved. This is a photo of my cousin who is a solider in the US Army. For me it shows his hurt, his pain, and raw emotions for a woman who is truly missed.

Very patriotic! The name of the photo (and the photo itself) dispels a jolt of emotions.

One thing I see in this pic is the pain in his eyes, you did a great job at capturing his emotions, you can tell it is because of the funeral but this is also a soldier who is home for a reason that I am sure he wishes could have been different circumstances

It's very hard to capture raw emotions. This picture tells a story of pain while showing strength.
